I am a horror fan watching and reading almost everything vampire except the Vampire Diaries. I must receive caught up on that. Sorry I digress.
Everything that I have encountered except for the tv show Kindred, it is said that vampires can't ingest food. Okay if that's true, why do they always manage to turn up a glass of champagne, vodka or some other alcoholic beverage?
I know it is probably the writer's or the director's discretion, it isn't basic vampire lore. I'd like to know any thoughts on the subjects. I guess I'm just a stickler for detail. You can't say vampires don't eat and at the same time they're chugging down alcohol. It doesn't make sense. Thank you every in advance.

Will it be a spoof like so many other TV shows turned into movies with a winking nod towards the audience and full of in home jokes. Will it be played as a straight laced action film that has been re-imagined from the campy 80's style of the show.

hello,i'm turning 18 in may,i'm from europe,i take acting classes and i've worked in several local tv shows as an extra.I've decided that i would like to work as an actor,i know its difficult,i know it takes time,but i'm willing to work difficult and give it a try..
My dad is a canadian citizen and is willing to sponsor me so i can live and work in canada,but he lives in montreal and i've heard that for acting,toronto and vancouver are better..i mean lots of hollywood films were shot there so there are some big opportunities..and i've found some bigger acting agencies there too..
so,what should i do?
i'm most interested in tv shows,films,commercials ect,but i like theater too!

Do you guys look a Turkish person as a terrorists ? ok this sounds a little different when i imaged it in my head, I mean in Films, because most of them are seen as terroist that wants to kill or a serial killer killing people, for example midnight express.
im asking this because im ethnically turkish but im also british and i want to become and will become an actor, but if casting directors are looking for turkish actors just to play a terrorist then i dont want to play a turk in american films( indie and short films, feature films a a long way away)
ive never seen a turkish character just play a normal person like getting drunk or having sex, its always a guy with a fes or something lol. turkish people arnt even religious, im personally more british/english then turkish, i talk like a english guy, drink beer like them(born and bred brit !) :)

Most turkish people look like greeks and italians(and yes we have a lot of blonde with blue eyes), the more you go to the east the more darker they receive in skin colour but most people on east turkey aren't turkish but kurdish.

I am in high school now, and wish to major in either Film Production or Film Studies in college (I don't want to be a director, more like a cinematographer or set designer). I have straight A's (but I am a sophomore in a private school, but this including Middle School I have gotten every A's or A-'s and my cummulative GPA as of now is a 3.97) and I have been in Girl Scouts for 10 years and will earn the top award, plus many hours of volunteer service for GS/School. I also do Cross Country and Mock Trial
So, in addition to the core classes (I take Honors English, will be doing French and Math for 4 years, 3 of Science and History) I was planning on taking these electives because I thought they worked well
Media I (Studying film, print, tv, radio, photography)
Media II (Basically a film analysis class)
Video Technology (production, storyboarding, scriptwriting, etc)
I'm considering Media III as well
But I wanted to ask about this class called Photography for Communicating Experiences, a summer class that goes to WA DC. It's because I really like cinematography
I also thought about taking a semester of Drawing. Because I know that people on film sets have to use drawing for design.
How helpful would you think these classes would be? (The last two mainly?)

I've got some headings on a sheet that suggest for headings they are:
- Introduction
- Purpose
- Audience
- Social context - sources
- Form
- Content/order
- Language - Presenters
- Filming/Layour techniques
- Evaluation
What do most of these headings mean and what do I write in the paragraph? I've done the Intro, Purpose and audience but I don't understand what the others mean. Or does someone know the next paragraph(third one) what it is called and what I have to write about?
P.S The comparison is about two different news TV shows.

Hi,
I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop and I recently bought an Elonex 32" HDMI LCD tv. With that I bought a a VGA cable to connect the two so i could watch movies from the laptop through the tv. At first i had trouble getting the picture to go from the laptop to the tv but i finally went into my graphics card and cloned the two devices and that worked perfectly.
BUT about 2 weeks later i hooked up the vga cable again to watch a film and for some reason the picture wouldnt arrive up on the tv, every i got was ''no signal''. I tried colning the devices again, going into the display settings, pressing Fn+F8 and even changing the resolution but not one thing seems to work and I dont even know what happend or what i did wrong.
It is beginning to really annoy me because i have no idea what i did wrong, especially with the tv and the vga cable only a couple of weeks old and the laptop is only 3 years old and every are working perfectly!
So if anyone can help me at every, i would much appreciate it.

Can't remember the name of 2 movies.
1 was released around 2007'ish. The gist of the story is that TV or radio signals or soemthing is making half of every people who hear it insane and psycho killers. It's not Pontypool or the Crazies, but is similar to both.
The other is an old claymation film from my childhood. It was released roughly around the time that The Great Outdoors was released, so it is old. It has kids in a classroom learning about dinosaurs and goes into various sketches. It's a claymation movie, and one of the big recurring gags was one of the kids, a boy, saying, "It looks like Margret's mom/mom!"
Help would be appreciated.

I can recall watching a tv movie in the tardy nineties but I just can't bring the title to mind! Here is a brief synopsis. A pretty high school cheerleader-type is found dead in the forest having been murdered (I seem to recall her being struck on the back of the head and left to drown in a shallow stream?). Eventually it emerges that she was killed by a plain Jane bookworm type out of jealousy, and the main part of the film is detectives hounding the plain Jane, trying to receive her to drop her pretense and confess. If I could only remember the names of any of the main actors I could track it down myself on IMDB!!

It was on TV a year or so ago. I can't seem to find it on IMDB. I don't remember much of it, just mainly the ending, but here goes...
Kevin Spacey has a family, and he ends up kissing his daughter's best pal, then they're about to snooze together but KS finds out its her first time so he stops.
His daughter wants to run away with the boy next door (her boyfriend) and admits she has saved up a lot of money (about £3000?) from baby sitting.
KS's daughter's boyfriend deals weed to KS and one day the boyfriend's dad catches them through a window but misreads the situation and thinks KS is paying his son for blow jobs/sex. So the dad confronts KS (in the rain, in/just outside of his garage) and then tried to kiss KS (thinking he is gay for receiving sex off his son) but KS pushes him away.
In the end KS gets shot in the back of the head (maybe by his wife - I'm not sure)
That is pretty much every I remember... Please help!!

hey, about october i watched a film on the tv and it was really good . it was about a man who got involved with underground fighting, to keep his girlfriend or sister, it was an american/ english film so it wasn't jackie chan style fighting .. im sorry i cant tell you any more but i have searched and searched and searched but the problem is im not sure if the film has 'fighting' in the title so its becoming difficult to find! please help me i would be so grateful!!

I say this, because I sob quite easily when it comes to bad things happening or being upset. My friends mum is close to dying (from cancer) and when I heard the update it just made me burst out into tears because I feel so bad for my pal and her mum is too young to go...she's a lovely lady. Is it normal to feel upset when it doesn't directly affect me? I sob often at unhappy scenes from films/TV....actually even really glad scenes too. Do I need to grow a thicker skin?
Thx everyone...well my pal told me she passed away today. I tried not to sob :| but I guess I am just a bit too emotional, but not so much that's it's a problem, I don't sob when someone gets sent to prison or when someone's pet has died. I think I also got upset cos I realised how lucky I am to have every my family with me. I do think about the positives too :-)

Being in NYC, tv series and movies are constantly being filmed (movie trailers are parked every over!) I often look people just standing around waiting for the scene to be over and such. I don't have experience in the film industry, but wouldn't mind giving coffee to say, Jennifer Aniston, before or after a film shoot. Any idea how I can join these film crews?

From talking to american people online and watching american reality tv shows (i know most american reality tv shows aren't actually reality) iv heard they think british people are posh and in alot of films based in america theirs a british character that's a totally pussy (wimp is it stars that out)
Though from what iv seen the majority of americans seem so annoying, really over enthusiastic, very ignorant, sob ridiculously easily and in tv shows seem really fake hugging people they've never met before and saying it was the best day of my life every 20 mins
Im assuming alot of this is wrongly portrayed by the media how much of this if any would you say is real?

Hi, i'm looking for a Clint Eastwood movie, but don't know the name of it. I only remember some bits of it as it was on tv when I was little, i'm 20 now so it's an old film. It looks like it was made in the 70's, but not sure. It looks like Clint Eastwoods character lives in a childrens home or something like that, and in one scene he throws a little girls tortoise. Like if you watch music performances (by korean bands) on youtube, and then the camera suddenly shifts to the audience you will notice that every the fangirls usually cover their faces with whatever they can find. They're excitedly cheering for their favourite band BUT once they notice the cameras facing them, they immediately cover their faces.
Or if you watch interview clips where the reporter is conducting interviews on the streets, most girls run FAR AWAY from the camera when they look the reporter approaching them. And if they notice that they're accidently filmed by the cameramen, they usually immediatly turn their backs facing the camera.
Why is this so? I mean, when I watch other clips (from other countries outside of Korea), those ppl there are MORE THAN WILLING/glad to show their faces on camera. Lol. Those ppl just can't wait to receive airtime and be shown on tv. But it's diff with Korean fangirls though....why?

For teens, which method would you recommend for t.v/film acting, stella adler, meisner, or lee strasberg?
in new york, i'm debating which acting technique to study would be best for me.
i'm going towards more tv/film then theater.
i've studied meisner briefly and enjoyed it but i do look the cons of it being very dependent towards your partner.
also, i heard stella adler is more towards theater which i'm not to crazy about.
i also heard that lee strasberg was more film and tv which i like, but ik the technique is about going back to your past memories and bring back the emotions which i'm afraid of since i'm only a teen and i didn't go through such life changing experiences yet so idk how well i can connect with my past emotions.
i'd appreciate your thoughts, stories, the similarities/differences, recommendations for certain schools, and etc.

I'm trying to summer intern in a finance related enviroment mainly because that is the field I plan on pursuing. Unfortunately my laziness got the best of me sophmore year and part of my junior year thus the low 3.53 GPA. I understand that i'm probably not going to the Penn States, Harvards, Columbias, or the MITs of the U.S but i'm sure if I do well on my SAT"s I have a shot at some fair universities. I plan on majoring in economics/finance. I want to go to the BEST school possible that I can receive into. Considering that I do well on my SAT's and ACT"s can I receive into schools like UNC, Wake Forest, NYU, BU, Lehigh University, Villanova, Univeristy of Texas-Austin, BC, or Univeristy of Michigan?

Reviews are nothing to me. I'm a natural critic and I look them for myself. No one tells me to look a movie or not to look a movie...I look it if want or don't want to. Since the Oscars being on tv tonight just thought I'd ask the people who make those Hollywood peeps...very wealthy...I like every movies....I like Comedy, Drama, Horror, Action, Adventure, Interest, Animated, Independent films, foreign films.
I tend to look movies based on the actor that I like or director and some movies I look if there of interest to me by the story line.

I am a native French living in the UK since 3 years now.
I've got a BTEC diploma (MMM degree) in Film and TV production, and i also did one year at Bournemouth university in the same course than my college one. But i found out that it was not what i wanted, what i really want is become a French teacher in UK.
But i dont know which qualification i need to become a French teacher through my quaification:
- i dont have a bachalaureat as i left France before doing it
-BTEC diploma with MMM

TV has S-Video. I bought VGA to TV Converter S-Video RCA OUT CABLE ADAPTER ( 2 Converter). Connection to PC okay, but yellow and black Converter`s don't, they have same ends (don`t know proper name) as my TV. The only way I can explain it is, TV S-Video and Adapter both have female connections. Have searched on-line and computer shops, but no luck. I need yellow and black connector`s with prongs to fit into TV. wish I`m making sense. I want to watch films on TV through memory stick in computer.

In the vid menu of said iPod it lists Film, TV Programmes and Music Videos. Each says "You can sync (film/tv/music) from iTunes". Only problem is, I downloaded an episode of South Park and it didn't sync to my iPod, it says nowhere on the Apple site how to do it and I've found no information just searching Google. I manage a Senior Housing Community and am looking for something to do with the residents for Earth Day. This might sound odd, but the film I`m looking for is an erotic film, well not some hardcore porn, but you know, "Lady porn-like", soft porn so to talk.
It was about a lady, who lives with her wealthy husband in some nice of old, but beautiful cottage in the country, close a village. in this village, there lives a guy who`s a boxer. he runs every morning, the lady sees him and develops some nice of romantic/erotic relationship. The husband doesn't pay any attention to his wife, so the lady fulfills her fantasies with the boxer. I remember one particular episode in the forest, on the horse (the lady had a great interest in different cultures, she wanted to try how Mongols or Chinese or other horse master cultures had sex)...
I watched this film (maybe it is a part of miniseries) ~ 10 years ago on German TV channel, RTL2, but it wasn't a German production.
what else? Of, the lady looked a lot like Yvonne Scio, with long, curly hair, and the boxer guy was with dark hair.

When I was in Social Studies class, we were going to receive filmed and then I sat down quietly. He asked me if I don't want to be filmed and without even letting my answer, he just said I should go to the library to print out pictures for TV shows some people need. The tone of his voice sounded like he was scared or in a rush. Why do you think out of the whole class he was so eager to make me go to the library to print out pictures of TV shows and should I do it?

I saw a film many years ago which I think was Italian, at least it had subtitles.
every I can remember is that the police are called to a cinema where someone had been murdered, in order to recreate the events they re run the film and a policeman sits in the victims seat only it seems that the actual film (which is a western movie) is the culprit as the policeman panics and runss around the cinema but the gun slinger on screen is following his movements.
a weird thing I know but ive always wondered what it was called, I caught it on tardy night TV with i was a boy.

I have a Samsung camcorder and would like to put this film on a vhs tape..I have ask everyone on here and no Luck yet..I am aware of hooking up different cords etc..When I playback the film on the camcorder, I have to use a certain channel on my tv and then when I turn the vcr on, it has to be on either 3 or 4 to play back recorded film..help please..I would really like to keep this film..thanks..my vcr is a emerson if this helps
